The AES Virtual Summer Learning Café provides a dynamic, student-centered space tailored for middle school students (Grades 7-8). Led by our certified educators, this flexible, drop-in program ensures consistent academic engagement and skill development throughout the summer, balancing rigorous learning with personal interests. Designed to foster significant academic growth, critical thinking, and confidence, this program offers engaging, structured learning experiences that prepare students for higher-level challenges. It also provides a supportive virtual community where students can connect with age-appropriate peers, share ideas, and develop collaborative skills. Students in grades 7-8 can: - Participate in interactive enrichment activities to deepen understanding in core subjects or explore advanced topics, often in dynamic small group settings. - Utilize quiet learning spaces for focused independent study, homework completion, and mastering challenging concepts. - Join breakout rooms for specialized support in middle school math, science, English, or to collaborate on complex projects and problem-solving with peers. - Receive guidance for transitioning to high school, ensuring a confident and academically prepared move, including discussions on building new social networks. How It Works: Join Anytime – No fixed start dates! Students can enroll daily, weekly, or monthly for unlimited access during program hours. Flexible Learning Spaces – Choose between collaborative sessions for group activities and peer interaction or quiet, independent study based on personal learning preferences. Drop-In Availability – Open Monday–Thursday, 10 AM–6 PM CST, allowing students to participate at their convenience and fit learning into their summer schedule.
